well, I guess technically not- you may just want to have x number of subs and I guess that's ok too.
Decibel goal is as loud as I can get it within what my what will allow. In all honestly, my endgame is a even response throughout the space with the 4 ported subs handling everything but ULF, and then the nearfield box "helping" where possible above tuning, but providing the ULF/tactile feel below the subs tuning through movement of the drivers, that energy transmitted to the sectional via the riser it will sit on.
I want to have MORE than I need, so I dont need to run the subs full tilt, or even at 1/2 their max wattage so I can keep the volume low and still achieve deep clean bass with lots of overhead in both the speakers and amps and very little distortion.

For now, sub 5 wont exist, and sub 4 is going to be 4 sealed 12's instead of a ported box, but it will be on the riser..
