When you have the screen the size of a wall, or basically a wall being a screen, you don't care about better use of the screen space. Think about a paining on a wall - even large paintings are usually much smaller than a wall. Even with modern 40+ inch screens, they are large enough to display a vertical video. So what if there are black bars on the sides?

No stereo with mic cable connection?

Hi guys. I just bought this camera and I'm trying to figure out how to record stereo. I've tried different mics and different wireless mic systems using the output and nothing will work. I get stereo from everything when plugged into my receiver or anything else but plugged into this camera it only ever shows left channel recording. Help would be appreciated.

Why doesn't this camcorder have an internal LED light built-in? I shoot a lot of closeups, and the light helps - even during daylight shots. The Panasonic DOES have an internal light. So did SONY just skimp, or is there a reason they did away with it?

Because they use external LED lights.

As an iMac user, I use Apple's 'Compressor' program.

Amongst other things, I use it for converting edited 4K-source video to 1440p or 1080p.

While making a rotating recording with tripod of this farm, I notice that autofocus has a problem with focusing because of the stones and different flowers with deer result that the image is not sharp and there is image flickering?

Assuming you took a framegrab from the section of the footage you mention I don't see anything wrong in the picture.

In general I'm very happy with my AX53 but I do have problems tracking moving objects through the viewfinder, particularly in bright lighting conditions. I wear glasses so get light 'leakage' round the edges of the standard viewfinder which aggravates matters. I have been searching extensively, without success, for a larger flexible eyecup to fit the AX53 to solve this problem. Is there anything out there I can buy (preferably from the UK)?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

David
