Need Advice - Keep Polk Audio Rti10s and CSi5 or buy Emotiva T1s and C1

Hi everyone I am very new here and need some advice

Right now I have older Polk Audio Rti 10s as fronts and an Polk Audio Csi5 as a center channel speaker along matching bookshelf speakers as rears in 5.1 setup. An Outlaw audio 5000 5-channel amp powers these speakers. I am using a Yamaha RX-A1060 as a preamp.
I am thinking of replacing my current Polk Audio speakers with the Emotiva T1, C1, and B1. (the T2, C2, and E2 are a little out of my price range) I hope the ribbon tweeter on the Emotiva speakers will lead to a better stereo image along with better vocal definition on the Emotiva C1 (I use my system in stereo mode 70% of the time).

Has anyone listened to both these speakers and is able to tell me if I gain anything in sound quality by getting the Emotiva speakers?

Thanks

What sub are you using?

So seventy percent is music in stereo with no sub?

On the face of it I'd expect a sideways move but easiest thing to do is order a pair of B1s to test against your RTi bookshelves you are using in the rear.

If the B1s win handily then by all means go Emotiva.

If it isn't conclusive simply return the cheap to return B1s as they aren't very heavy.

I have owned some former RTi bookshelf speakers and the former Emotiva X-Ref bookshelf speakers .... the Polk was somewhat lacking in detail and definition and depth and the Emotiva had better detail and definition ..... I would expect the Emotiva to be a step up for you -- so, I would at least give them a test run, maybe start with the bookshelf and center

I was on the same position as you before but I have a Klipsch RP at that time. I was more into movies probably like 70% as well. Then I saw a good discount for the T1 and C1. Having them side by side I sold the Klipsch and I was more having fun listening to music in 2ch with my dual monolith 12” more often right now.

I could listen music for hours

People here who advise to give an emotiva a try won’t let you down from experience.

I’m so happy and satisfied right now with my speakers.

I went from def tech sm65’s to t1’s and could not be happier. Was bit hesitant as felt rushed into the sm65’s a couple years back and pulling the trigger on unheard but highly recommend speakers caused me great angst. However could not be happier, been listening to a whole bunch more music, also got the c1 and even the wife mentioned how good it all sounded for movies.

The def techs used to give me headaches after extended sessions and now they are gone.

Using dual rsl speedwoofers and completely happy.

I haven't heard the Emotivas but have owned multiple RTi models. I also expect the Emotivas to be an upgrade, particularly for music.

Sony STR-DN1080 AVR / Monitor Audio Silver 6 fronts / JBL surrounds / Xbox One X / Yamaha CD-S300 / HiFiMan HE-400i Headphones
